Position: Executive Director

FLSA: Exempt (not eligible for overtime pay in compliance with federal and state regulations)

Schedule: This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule and regular evening and weekend hours required.
​
Salary Range: $ 80,000 – 100,000, dependent on experience, education, and training to date.
​
Benefits: Medical and dental insurance, two weeks paid time off, and a generous schedule of observed holidays and holy days. Full benefit list available upon request.

Organizational Overview
Cabrini Teaching Fellows is a small Catholic nonprofit organization dedicated supporting excellent education through the recruitment, formation, and ongoing support of exceptional early career teachers who serve our students, schools, and communities. Working in partnership with Denver Catholic schools, the Archdiocese, and philanthropic supporters, the organization seeks to strengthen Catholic education and faith-filled leadership.
Position Summary
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of the organization and is responsible for advancing its mission, strategic vision, and long-term sustainability. This hands-on leadership role oversees teacher recruitment, formation, training, school partnerships, fundraising, donor cultivation, and organizational operations.

The Executive Director works closely with Catholic school leaders, board members, donors, and Archdiocesan leadership to ensure the successful recruitment and development of mission-driven career educators while building the financial resources necessary to sustain and grow the program.
​
We are seeking a self-motivated individual who can work independently with minimal direction, but who is eager to learn and grow their skill set by collaborating with the Board or others when appropriate.
​
Regular evening and weekend commitments and periodic travel for recruitment visits and to represent the organization is required.
Reporting
The Executive Director will report to the Cabrini Teaching Fellows Board.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership

Lead the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan.

Collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish goals, measure impact, and ensure organizational effectiveness.

Serve as the primary ambassador and spokesperson for the organization.

Foster a culture of mission-driven excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Other duties as assigned and necessary to advance the mission of the Cabrini Teaching Fellows.
Operations and Financial Management

Oversee organizational budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.

Monitor program outcomes and organizational performance metrics.

Ensure effective administrative systems and operational processes.

Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations, policies, and reporting requirements.

Manage staff, consultants, and volunteers as applicable.
Fundraising and Donor Relations

Lead all fundraising efforts, including major gifts, foundation grants, and occasional events.

Build and maintain meaningful relationships with current and prospective donors.

Work closely with the Board to develop fundraising strategies and expand philanthropic support.

Communicate organizational impact through reports, presentations, and donor engagement activities.
Teacher Recruitment

Develop and execute strategies to recruit high-quality teacher candidates aligned with the organization’s mission and values.

Build relationships with colleges, universities, diocesan partners, and other talent pipelines.

Oversee the candidate outreach, screening, interviewing, selection, and placement processes.

Maintain and strengthen a robust network of prospective teachers.
Formation & Mentoring
-
Refine and oversee Fellow and Mentor Teacher formation programs that support professional excellence and faith formation.

Coordinate weekly training sessions, retreats, and other events as appropriate.

Recruit, train, and support appropriate Mentor Teachers.

Provide coaching, mentorship, and support systems for fellows throughout their time in the program.

Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements based on outcomes 360 feedback.
School and Archdiocesan Partnerships

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with principals, school administrators, pastors, and Archdiocesan leaders.

Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and partner schools.

Collaborate with educational leaders to identify staffing needs and program opportunities.

Represent the organization at Archdiocesan meetings, events, and educational initiatives.

Communicate organizational impact through reports, presentations, and donor engagement activities.
Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
-
Five or more years of work experience (preferred in nonprofit management, education, Catholic education, fundraising, or a related field).

Proven leadership ability.

Possess a Servant’s Heart and demonstrable desire to lead a joyful community.
Qualifications
Required

Must be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043).

Must refrain from the promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace upon, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver. He/she must refrain from behaviors in word or deed considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine and morals.

Preferred
-
Work experience in nonprofit management, education, Catholic education, fundraising, or a related field.

Familiarity with nonprofit governance and board relations.

Experience working within Catholic schools, diocesan organizations, or faith-based nonprofits.

Experience with major gift fundraising and grant development.

Knowledge of teacher recruitment and professional development practices.
Travel Requirements
Requires local travel to partner schools, donor meetings, Archdiocesan offices, conferences, and organizational events as well as occasional national trips for recruiting and conferences.
